... is a rubber baseball. It squeaks when you squeeze it.  It's been
downstairs all this time, and whenever we're all down there she
pushes it around the floor, and carries it around making it do tiny
squeaks.  I've never seen a cat carry a ball around in their mouth
like she does! Tonight when I got home, it was upstairs in the
kitchen. So she carried it (I'm assuming it was her because no one
else plays with it like she does) up all of the stairs! Now she's
carrying it around upstairs and it sounds almost as if she's got a
live prey from the tiny squeaks it's making.

I'll try! The ball has gone missing. Probably back downstairs
again.  :)

Are you sure she's not a dog? :)

That's very cute - you should get some pictures!

Mine carry little balls in their mouths as well, but the funniest thing is
when they pick up one of my husband's bootlaces they love to play with.
They run, the bootlace ends fly and, of course, the other two cats pounce on
the flying ends.  It's hysterical.

It's so cute! Caliban carries his tinfoil ball around in his mouth, then
he 'accidentally' drops it and it runs off and he has to chase it again.
So cute.

That's what Weebs does with His Purple Puffball (which he now shares with
baby sister Betty).  Of course, Weebs 'sings' to it, while playing,
stalking, chasing and generally amusing himself (and us) with it.  We can
always tell when he's playing, as we hear the chorus of merups, chirrups,
neyows.
