Kreisleriana - 09 Mar 2006 16:50 GMT Pictures from my excellent Italian adventure are up! It was raining and cloudy almost all the time I was there, so most of these have sort of a "moody" look. ;) http://community.webshots.com/album/548136970VpFUVM

When I was there it was the middle of a *hot* summer and the river was, err... aromatic ;-)

Oh, she was adorable-- very round. Italian cats seem to be very round. They seem to get regular pasta supplements. ;)
There was another cat-- a "diplomatic" cat in Rome, who evidently belonged to the Czech Republic Consulate (the same street as my hotel), but it was dark, and he was black, so his pic didn't come out.

Chakolate - 10 Mar 2006 20:36 GMT > Firefox is a browser, much like Internet Explorer. I have both, > occasionaly one will open a site that the other can't. Firefox has an extension, called IE View, that lets you see pages that need IE, which is a lifesaver for me. Every time I have to open IE, it messes up my settings, trying to take over. Very annoying.
You can get IE View here:

I clear my browser cache every few days, so it's not that, but thanks for the suggestion. It all worked okay until recently, but for the past couple of weeks I cannot get webshots. Tweed

I rarely catch any critical files, normally just lots of tracking cookies.
I used to have Spyware Stormer too but when it disappeared (I assume it expired) I didn't feel inclined to pay for it again, seemed a bit of an over-kill ;-)
Thanks for your suggestions though, Mary.

There's no indication that there's anything wrong with my computer in any other way, it's only 18 months old and behaves perfectly except for this. I'll just keep checking back like you suggest.

I really can't figure it out because whenever it happens to me, nothing really has changed and it's not happening to anyone else. The first time it happened, it lasted over a week, but the second time it cleared up in just a few days. I'll let you know if I ever figure it out.

Shiral - 09 Mar 2006 19:22 GMT Oh God..... I want to GO! NOW!
Thanks for some great pictures, Theresa! I'm envious that you got to see Venice and Florence. =o) In my art history classes in High School, we covered a LOT of material on Florentine arttists.. not surprisingly.

Kreisleriana - 10 Mar 2006 14:49 GMT >Oh God..... >I want to GO! NOW! [quoted text clipped - 4 lines] > >Melissa I would encourage anyone who has a chance to go to these places not to hesitate. They are just heavenly. Venice is pure magic, even in the rain and cold. The sheer beauty and history of the place, and the spirit of the people around me, filled me with such a euphoria, I hardly felt the cold. Florence is complete artistic overload-- I can understand why the 19th-c. English tourists would faint there. Seeing things you have only seen in books, and only dreamed of seeing is such a wonderful experience. Rome is fantastic too (although I got rained on the most there-- and sprained my wrist there).
And then there was the food! The GELATO!
Thanks, all, for letting me share my fantastic time with you all.

Seeing those makes me sad that I had to cancel my Greece trip. I was supposed to go in two weeks. My friend who was going to travel with me had to cancel because her mom broke her hip on Christmas Eve. Her mom moved in with her last summer. She only just got out of rehab last week, and she wouldn't be ready to be left alone for 10 days. I didn't have enough time to find another roomie who could get a passport in time. :(
