Airborne catnip?

What's the deal with these Feliway diffusers? Most of the time it's like all
the cats are stoned on catnip. There's been no fighting yet, more than 12
hours since Eli was brought in. Lily still growls if he gets very close to
her, but she's quit running away when she sees him. The party they had last
night got really wild.... Maybe they've got cabin fever from not going
outside.

I hope they keep having as much fun together as they had last night. They're
starting to follow me to the door and try to go out with me. So the first
order of business once I finish the move will be to enclose the front porch
with chickenwire, which is the cheapest thing to use as well as the most
transparent.

I want them to get a good sense of how fast the traffic moves in the street
so they'll understand why I don't let them out. Leftover chickenwire will go
over the window screens so the windows can be left open. Cats can tear
through screens.

Good ideas. I'm glad it seems to be working well. Is there more room in
the house than the old trailer? That might also make them feel more
secure about each other.

There's quite a bit more space, and they've only seen half of it so far.

I'm so happy that you and the kitties have got a better place to live now.
They won't be able to wander free like they did, but the house will be so
much better for *you.* and hopefully the cats too.
I lead a pretty spartan existence myself, but yours was worse.  I hope you
and your babes will be very happy in your new house.  Sounds like you all
made a good start.

I'm so glad to hear the move is going so well, that's wonderful!
Best wishes,
