He rode over in the big carrier on the passenger seat. He was so unhappy in
there, he shredded the old pillow I put in for him, but once he got in the
house he was fine. He didn't go hide right away like the others did when
they were moved.

Of course I plugged in the Feliway things first, and then left him sitting
in the box for a little while. As soon as I let him out he went right to
exploring the house. Lily growled at him a few times but everyone else is
fine with him so far, no fights have broken out.

I followed him around for a long time to make sure he wasn't spraying
anything. Now he's curled up on my bed with Baby Eyes. Billy and Beatrice
are having a party behind me with their tent, Abelard and Tommy are watching
them and Lily is sitting in the kitchen, sulking because Eli is here. He
hasn't threatened her in the least, in fact he gives her a wide berth.

It would be such a blessing if Lily would just forget about being hateful to
Eli....

Sometimes moving can really change dynamics. I hope everything shakes
out just right.

Pat, sounds like the move is going well with the furbabies. We will purr and
pray that it stays this way. Good on ya!

Have you tried scent transfer on those two?  Perhaps it would help a
little.   MLB

I'm glad to hear, all, the cats have been safely moved. Do you have any more
stuff left at the farm, or are all the trips over?

Have you tried the "scent transfer" procedure?   MLB

Not sure what you mean by "scent transfer" but if you think it will help,
please explain how to do it. These two cats have occupied the same space for
well over a year so they sure ought to know each others' scents by now. It's
still going well since the move. She seems less upset at seeing him today
than she was last night but I'll try anything to improve their chances of
getting along well.

As I understand the procedure of scent transfer......use a washcloth (or
whatever) and rub it all over one cat, then rub it all over the other cat.
You transfer the first cat's scent to the second cat.  I suppose you
could use two cloths and give each one the treatment.  The object being
to make each cat smell a little like the other and thereby (hopefully)
not so hostile  to each other.    Might be worth a try.  Best wishes that
hey will learn to love each other.   MLB
