Brain CAT scan report came in today.  No problems noted.  That is excellent
but sheds no light on why I get these headaches and why all of a sudden all
the medication stopped working.  Will continue to read research, work with
my wonderful neurologist, listen to and read advice from friends, two
newsgroups and on the web.  Thank you all for the advice so far on the board
and privately.

I'm so glad you got good news about the brain CAT.  I know it doesn't help
the migraines, but at least it's not something more serious.

Purrs coming that the migraines will get fewer and fewer.  FWIW, I quit
getting migraines after I had my hysterectomy (my mother stopped having them
after menopause).  Since my daughter and granddaughter only started getting
them after the onset of menses, I have to believe that hormones may play a
big part - have you asked your doctor about that?

Good questions Lori.  I started getting migraines when I was 28 yo. I
thought they would go away when I had uterus and ovaries removed  ages 35-39
and then thought they would go away or dimish at menopause age 56-58, didn't
happen either time.

That's good news, although it's too bad no diagnosis was made.  I assume
they've checked for things like a pinched nerve in your neck?

I went to a chiropractor for almost a year seven or eight years ago.  He was
great in that he was educational, gentle, caring, very highly recommended.
I got no relief from the administration of the manipulations though.  If I
had a pinched nerve would he have found it, Joy?  Or would a physician have
to have located a pinched nerve?

Thank you very much.  I'm going to try the Feverfew Tea recommended by
Matthew and my dear friend Loretta.
Maybe that will help.  I can't see that it will hurt.

This would mean more if you could spell, and form sentences correctly.
The words are especially, and adrenaline. Plus it should be to an eye
specialist not "to the eye specialist".   I left out the rest of your
errors. If you are in the medical profession I wouldn't want you working
on me.  This post makes you appear to be at least somewhat uneducated.

Hey it's not my fault  you didn't graduate past the sixth grade.

I was right you are an idiot. I remember when you first came to this
group - when the flooding was going on. You fit right in with them and
the trolls. Which was why I kill-filled you back then I should have left
you there so back you go. So if I am a troll so are you and an
uneducated one at that. At least I have some intelligence! Good bye
idiot - someday I imagine we will hear of you in the darwin awards after
you off yourself. Hopefully you won't take someone else with you!

Ok....you're a bit odd!! He was only giving advice, not writing a fraudulent
prescription! I think this has earned a group plonking.

I think Mathew has a stalker, this Samuel Adams character has only posted
twice to this group, both times to insult Mathew. So a group plonking sounds
like a good idea.

Oh, please!  I have better things to do with my time than waste them
stalking it (read NMR) or you for that matter. Have you always been this
stupid or is it a recent development? And Yes I realize you might not be
reading this but who cares? I know I  don't.

I had a very through eye exam about five months ago.  We have great
insurance and allows us to go to wonderful doctors and specialists. No noted
problems, just a change in lens's.  Have my blood checked often, complete
blood panel.  Don't know if that includes adrenalin.  Does anyone here know
if it does?

Thank you Sam a whole big bunch.  A day like today, one without a h/a, is a
gift! I appreciate the purrs. Will try Feverfew Tea, any thing in this
storm!  A scritch to the purr-ers please.

I'm so glad nothing serious was found. Continuing purrs for the cause to be
found and eliminated.

I'm so relieved that the CAT scan has come back negative, Charleen.  You
must have been so worried that it might have shown a brain tumour, it seemed
to be what they were leading you to consider as a possibility but YAY!!
HaPPy DaNcE.  Fantastic news.  Phew..

Tweed
Charleen Welton - 03 Mar 2006 23:57 GMT
Thank you Tweed,
I'm happy too that the scan was clear. As you said "Phew." Actually what
both doctors were concerned about was a blockage in one of two major
arteries in the brain at the back of the head. Well that was not good news
because that would not be a cause of the h/a's.  Just something more to be
concerned about.  At any rate  it didn't happen either way.  I'm happy about
that, but am right back where I started from.  I'm going to take Matthew's
suggestion and try the Feverfew Tea and hope that helps.
Charleen enjoying a h/a free day!

It's great that there are not problems visible on the CAT scan, but I
can understand how frustrated you must feel. Headaches are really bad
and we are sending lots of purrs and best wishes for your doctor(s) to
find out a way to help you, and gentle hugs for you, Charleen, while you
wait for that to happen,

Hang in there.  Glad the CAT scan was fine; that is very good news.
Hoping that you'll find the problem soon and it will be something easy
to fix.
