I am glad I chose a new vet.  It is a clinic I have used before but they
are on the other side of town so I haven't been there in a while.
However, they have a great reputation.  I dropped her off this morning
and they looked at her a little later.  They are giving her subQ fluids
in hopes of hydrating her and if that doesn't work, they will put an IV
in.  They are doing some blood work in house and sending some stuff out.

I just got back from seeing her.  She was hissing at everyone so I spent
some time with her and she was purring when I left.  Her diagnosis is a
bladder infection.  I am trying hard to figure out my next move.  She is
stressed there and not eating.  She does eat, albeit a small amount
here.  But she will probably need Sub-Q fluids - which I can do.  The
bottom line is that I able to force feed her if necessary, I can give
fluids, but I am also busy and incredibly stressed (work, school and
therapy) and there is a part of me that would like for them to send me a
cat that just needs to be pilled.  I just don't know how stressed she is
and how much that would be helped by coming home.  I do know she will be
okay at this point as long as she gets the right care.  Just what the
right care is is the question.

Bridget is there a way for the vet to care for her till she is better.  It
sounds like it will be necessary since your schedule is hectic.   A little
more money for her sake is worth it

PS just because she is stressed out there and not eating does not mean she
won't eat  or when she gets home to a familiar surroundings that she won't
eat.

I take rumble to the vet and he is stresses out for while and won't touch
his cat treat while he is away but as soon as he gets home he wants his
treat now.

Many purrs that everything works out in a good way for all concerned.

We are still purring and praying that little Calico will be well soon and
that you aren't too stressed. God bless you, Bridget.

Lots of purrs on the way. I wish there was more I could do to help. :(

Poor baby. We are purring for her, and for you too. It sounds like you
need them just as much. Thank you for looking after her so well. I hope
the new home can take some of the load off you.

Can't offer any advice, except to remind you to take care of
*both* of you.  Sending purrs for reclaimed health for Calico
and relaxed coping for you.

Continuing purrs for everything to work out. It looks hopeful, she's in good
hands.
