Jasmine is home!! Rather sore and sorry and very very grumpy. She is hissing
at everyone, and all the cats are stepping around her warily. She's making
it clear that she is not in the mood!! I was really happy with the vet, they
checked her over at no extra charge and gave me tablets for her tapeworm
(which she has apparently got from the geckos that hide behind the
airconditioner!) Jasmine doesn't like boxes so I just carried her home; poor
baby was so glad to see me!! She is still a little groggy and not hungry so
she's due for lots of fussing in the next few days. I'm happy I'v found a
good vet, though, as I have to get the boys in for desexing, and get them
all vaccinated over the next few months.

Yay! I'm glad she's OK.

I'm glad she's home and ok. They can get tapeworms from geckos??? Wow.
I didn't know that. Vino hunts and eats lizards all the time, it's his
great joy in life. I hope he doesn't have tapeworm.

It's quite possible he has, without showing any symptoms. It may be a good
idea to give him a Drontal tablet.

I'm glad she's OK, she should be feeling much less sore in a couple of days.

Well, yeah -- they have to cut through abdominal tissue. They're
getting a full-up hysterectomy. Pretty invasive.

Actually, considering what's involved, they get over it amazingly quickly.

Yeah, that's true. Maybe in part because the surgery is done on young
cats.

I think possibly she found it a bit harder as she is older, and had a litter
four months back.

True!! She's looking a lot better now, although she's very needy for
cuddles!!

Thankyou :) She is looking better this morning, although I am keeping the
cats/kids away from her to give her some space.
