Scouty girl is sick! I didn't realise - I thought she was just cuddly
and feeling insecure about the kitten... but yesterday she started
puking, and she's got diarrhea :(

She seems to be feeling alright aside from that or I'd be REALLY
worried - but Silver was tearing through the house a few minutes ago
and Scouty tore after her.

Can an overdose of catnip do that to a cat? They broke into the catnip
night before last and it was EVERYWHERE in the morning and that's when
the puking started. Silver seems to be perfectly fine. I'm wondering
if she's suffering from too much stress over the new kitten?

I just gave her a bowl of kitten kibble and she ate half of it... now
to see if it comes back up :(

Lots of purrs for Scouty, I hope it's nothing serious. As you say, it could
be too much catnip.

Kumani pukes whenever she eats too fast...

With the dihorrhea, I say keep an eye on her and if she still has it
tomorrow, take her to the vet to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated.

Yes, ingesting too much catnip can indeed cause an upset
tummy/diarrhea. That's the #1 side effect listed from "overdose."
Apparently it isn't dangerous, everything I've ever read/heard seems to
agree about that.
If anyone has heard differently, I'd like to hear about it. I was
always suspect about that. After all, catnip is an herb; and herbs are
basically medicine. I always wondered if eating too much catnip can
really be particularly bad for them.
I always put the catnip in a sock, but invariably they find the stash
anyway if I don't lock it away in a drawer. Once I put a sealed
container on top of the refrigerator, and in the a.m. there was catnip
all over the place.

I'd just keep an eye on her today. If she ATE a lot of the catnip, it might
have upset her tummy. If she continues to throw up, then I would take her
in, but with the nip raid, and the fact she is still playful, I'd just keep
an eye on her for now.

Purrs and prayers that Scouty just had a little bit too much catnip and that
it all goes away quickly. Keep us updated.

Judging by the mess and how much I KNOW was in that bag to start with,
it wasn't just a 'little' too much. I'm honestly surprised by it too -
it's Silver who's the niphead so I'd have expected her to be sick from
it, not Scouty!

I gave her some kitten kibble this morning and it seems to have stayed
in her tummy... so hopefully it's just a nip hangover.

I'm glad to hear that the kibble stayed put and I hope she's feeling better
ASAP.

Stress, perhaps, and a catnip hangover!!  ROFL!!!
Seriously, though, I hope she's all right soon.

Purrs for Souty's digestive system. Today seems to be a bad day for RPCA

Never seen an overdose of catnip happen.

Purrs that Scouty is just having a touch of tender tummy, and will
feel better pronto.
