He's become an expert on making a rush to the top of the counter and
snagging a piece of meat, then scurrying off to eat it somewhere else,
so he still manages to nab a lot of Miranda's food. Sometimes I beat him
to it, though, and lift the plate to the top of the fridge, where he
can't get it (but neither can Miranda). It's a constant struggle to get
enough food into Miranda!
The cats looking out into the enclosure. I wanted to take a picture of
them side by side, so you'd all see how big Caliban is now compared to
Mir-mir, but she jumped up on the window sill, so she's much closer to
the camera here, and looks about the same size as Cal.

It's possible that the worry over Mir eating enough has passed.
She looks very filled out, and healthy. I do know your worry,
because Scarlett was scrawny for the longest time. I'm at the place
now where if she doesn't eat what I give her for a meal, I don't
worry as much as when she was skinny and hard to feed. She's still
picky, but now will go to the dry food if she doesn't like the
canned, and while I'd rather her eat the canned, I'm not so worried
about the dry. They all drink a lot of water. And, it's premium
quality dry food. She prefers canned to dry, but sometimes she
snubs my choice of the meal offering.

Miranda is healthy and has developed quite normally, I think, though
she's never eaten cat food in her life (except those treats that
Charleen sent with the yule card!!). Luckily, she loves her supplement
pills and regards them as a treat. They contain taurine, calcium and
different vitamins and minerals. It would seem they are good enough for
her to have grown into a normal cat on them.

I would say she is Queen Miranda. She will only dine on freshly
killed meat served on her platform of brass and cut crystal. Only the
serf eats on the floor. ;)

Miranda is growing into the little queen! (Does she think Caliban is
the brutish monster in her dungeon?)

Only when he forgets himself and bites her too hard when they play.
Mostly they get on OK. Miranda will watch incredulously while Caliban
plays with a toy, but the next moment she will most likely be zooming
around the flat herself, chasing Da Evil String. So I'd say she doesn't
quite graduate to Queen yet.
