I hear Joe Kitty suddenly whine;
Nyi-nyi-nyi-nyi-nyi

So I run to his rescue.

At which point he proceeds to upchuck fur logs for like ten minutes.  Easily
2 feet of fur logs all together.  Poor guy.

He musta looked bad in the Kitty world because even Sweetie ran over to see
if he was okay...

GOsh, Grant went through that a few weeks ago. I didn't think one cat (even
a big one) could contain that much fur and survive!!!

Exactly!  Poor thing.

Then he threw up one more time, and I went looking for him to clean it up,
and couldn't see him anywhere.

He was under our big huge old waterbed/built in dresser frame, throwing up
under the bed.

TBird <---- then he crawled into my lap and purred a while

It's actually pretty helpful when he does that - I can run over with a
newspaper or something to catch the yuck before it stains the rug.

We're moving in June and when picking out carpet, we went looking for "Cat
puke colour".

TBird <---- hope I got close...

I've been known to stick a plastic wastebasket in front of Felix's
face, much to his annoyance [he didn't like having his efforts foiled
;-)].

In Felix's case, that color varies a bit.

Ha ha!! That's funny. Hope your cats all puke the same color. :)

Poor Joe Kitty.  I hope he feels better now.
Yesterday, Vino was trying to hork up a hairball but nothing would
come up.  So I tried to give him some of that jelly stuff.  He used to
lick it right from the tube, or off my finger.  But lately, he hasn't
wanted it anymore.  So I smeared some on his paw, which he tried to
flick off instead of licking it.  Then he ran away from me!  He's
never, ever done that before.  I can squeeze his chin zits and clip
his claws and all sorts of other things and all he does is whine a
bit, but when I let him go he just sits down right next to me and
starts grooming.  But yesterday, after only smearing a tiny bit of
jelly stuff on his paw, he ran away from me for 10 minutes even though
I wasn't even trying to catch him!  Sheesh!

Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr. I have an alarm clock that's
covered in fur!

Guess there's no telling what gets in their furry little heads - I
think they just like to keep us guessing.

Anyway, purrs that Vino gets his hairball situation worked out to
everyone's satisfaction

You never know what's going to get a cat upset! Maybe he has some
odd phobia about the stuff. Or else, he just really, really hates it.

Yeah, it seems that he really, really hates it.  Which is so weird
because just a month ago, he was eating it up!  Very frustrating.  But
at least Vino doesn't have major hairball problems.  He coughs and
horka horka's a bit maybe once a week but most of the time when he
pukes it's because he ate his wet food too fast.

Since I've had cats all of my life, I know that I've unintentionally
swallowed plenty of cat hair, and I figure it's probably about time I
cough up a hair-ball too.  Only I'm going to wait until company comes
over, and do it right out in the middle of the living room. I'll have
to try and remember to back up while doing it too......very important.

ROTFLMAO!!!!

The company comment reminded me of a friend in NYC.  Growing up she had two
female, indoor (apartment) non-spayed cats.  WHich meant that they
periodically went into heat.

One night, while the local minister was over for dinner, Cleo went into heat
under his chair, rubbing herself and yowling at the top of her lungs....

TBird <---- glad I didn't have to explain THAT to a houseguest....

Cats always manage to take the spotlight don't they?

They know they look good in it.  That's my guess.
