Persia awakened me with her usual gentle tap on my nose, for she surely is a
starving waif :) I opened my eyes to see her gazing solemnly at me,
purring. But wait a minute, what's this? There was a small white dot right
in the middle of her forehead like the bindi (dot) Hindu women wear. It
stood out glaringly against her lovely grey fur. Some trick of the light?
I blinked. She purred. Nope, it was still there! What the heck?!
I'd removed something from a box on the bed yesterday and the box once
contained formed styrofoam packing material. Persia's fur (with the help of
static electricity) had at some point during the night picked up a small
round errant piece of this, smack in the middle of her forehead. Not
wanting to tempt fate, I decided perhaps I'd better get up and feed her or
face the wrath of some higher being :) Or the wrath of Persia, whichever
comes first!
Jill <--who knows she should have taken a picture but the effect just
wouldn't have been the same; besides, I was half asleep!

Kumani wants to be a minister. We receive a blessing/benediction that
is the laying on of a paw in the middle of our foreheads, just where
the minister draws the cross on young children.
