I know I'm technically talking about dogs but I trust this group.

My two dog's vet paperwork and related things are ALL out of order and
I have no idea where to start fixing things and doing things.

I -tried- earlier and got confusing nonsense. Apparently I needed the
impossible to do the probable and vice versa.

How do you mean they are out of order?

Everything is out of order. I'm not sure how to explain it. They need a
checkup from the neck up and neck down.

Each vet person I have talked to seemingly gives me differing,
conflicting information. It's very disheartening.

Ping Phil P   and tell him what the vets want to do  and he will explain
where to start and the steps to take

I didn't understand your first post and I don't understand this one either.
You say your dog's vet stuff is out of order.  What exactly do you mean?  Do
you mean the paperwork is all mixed up or you can't find it, or what?
If you feel that your dogs need a check up, it doesn't matter if you can
find previous paperwork - you can just take them along and start from
scratch.  If you take them to the vet you usually use they will have all the
info about them on their computer already.

Not according to some vets I have talked to.

Don't got a usual vet. The ones down here are more paperwork crazy then
the DMV. I sneeze, they make me get a new one.

What paperwork do you have now? Can you identify whether the existing
paperwork applies to Eddie or Louie?

I would suggest separating out what you have. One pile for Eddie, one
pile for Louie, one pile for "don't know". Sort each pile by date. Go
throgh the "don't know" pile, and try to assign each page to one of
the boys.

If you can't assign a page, set it aside and just don't show it to
the vet.

Does your vet not have copies of these records? If the vet is new,
ask the old vet to transfer existing records to the new vet. I believe
they have to.

Good luck,
Mark

I don't understand this at all.  There is no reason whatsoever why you
cannot present at a new vet and ask for your dogs to have a check up. Or why
you can't go back to your last vet?

So what do mean about the vet paperwork being out of order?
No vet here in the UK would refuse to treat an animal "because the paperwork
was out of order."  Just take your dogs along to a vet if you think they
need it and when you are there, show the admin staff the paperwork you have,
they could perhaps sort it out for you.
I have always found them very helpful.

Can't help as I don't quite understand the problem, but this reminds me
that the vet we had before we moved had a computer that was not Y2K
compliant. So Pippin's and Mithu's vaccination receipts showed them
being vaccinated in 1970-something.
I had to explain that several times to the new TED when I transferred
their records over.

I'm not quite sure I would have trusted the doc if they couldn't
understand your cats weren't thirty some years old.

When I have to sort piles of medical bills, I go by date.  Every piece of
paper that's vet-related should have a date-of-service on it.  Start by
sorting them that way.

In science, 'fact' can only mean 'confirmed to such a degree that it
would be perverse to withhold provisional assent.' I suppose that apples
might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal
time in physics classrooms.

Like the others, I didn't understand this post or your follow-up post.  I
gather your dogs need some sort of vet care and you aren't sure what to have
done in what order based on some paperwork you have?  Ask the vet; he/she
will know what needs to be done.

As for not having a regular vet, I've never heard of such a thing unless you
just moved or were unhappy with the previous vet and haven't selected a new
one yet.  Good luck with whatever this problem is.
