First relax as much as possible. Either end of the phone cord is NOT
plugged in. Grab the phone in one in one hand feel down to where the
phone cord plugs into the back of the phone. If it is in the phone then
push in on  the cord to make sure the cord is in all the way. If it is
not in the phone then set the phone down and locate the phone plug on
the wall. Push in on it to make sure it is plugged in all the way. Trace
along the phone cord to the end of the cord. Grab the phone and locate
the place where the phone cord plugs in. The widest part of where the
cord plugs in is the top. This is true of both the plug that goes into
the wall and the part that goes into the phone as well as the plug. Make
sure all parts are connected fully, and try the phone again.

If needed provide an address and location to someone you trust  in an
email and have them call someone for you to help you out. Heck I will do
it if needed up to you. MY email address is valid if needed. Good luck.

Brew yourself some coffee or strong caffinated tea, and take a couple
of ibuprophen (you can take up to 4 or 5 of the 200mg ones at a time.)
This MAY substitute for your meds for long enough to get you to the
pharmacy/drs.  I have gotten mine down to a dull roar using this
trick. I also use Ben Gay, Mentholatum or Capzaicin HP on my forehead
and neck to try to short circuit the pain.  Please remember that some
migraines can be a signal of something major going on, so please get
it check out as soon as you can!

I hate migraines!

As a long time Migraine suffer of the worst kind for over 20 years I know
what you are going thru.
Try downing a Gatorade to help most headaches are caused by dehydration and
new studies show that this helps

A quiet room, cold compress some Tylenol extra strength no light  or noise
don't rub your temples

right behind your right ear just below it maybe a 1/4 inch right at the
curve is a 4 point nerve center  try tapping it  you will know when you get
it right it is a nerve point that release endorphins  also there is a nerve
point in between your thumb and fore finger in the fatty spread part you
squeeze you will know if you have it right

A natural remedy that can work and I mean pure natural  if you can cause
your self to sneeze it will make a headache go away

Too much caffeine drinks  can cause the headache to get worse  caffeine is a
great heache reliever in its natural state you can go to a herb shop and get
the a south American tree bark I forget the name that the bark is loaded
with pure caffeine. Caffeine in its pure form is like getting stoned

Gandalf, please can we hear back from you. I am another one of the group who
gets terrible migraines.  Hopefully you have been able to rest in a dark,
quiet, cool bedroom, staying as still as possible.  Also hopefully someone
has been to see you and been able to help you. We are purring and praying
for you.

Thank you for your concern. I'm feeling better, but I still have a
terrible headache. At least my vision is relatively normal, but looking
at the monitor still hurts my eyes. I was able to get some sleep Sunday
afternnon and evening; my first since Thurs. night.

I still can't fix my telephones; there's a short in the system; I've
wired in many phones (over a dozen!) in my househouse starting when I
bought it in 1979; but the original telephone wiring in the walls is so
old it's insulated with cloth. The problem could be anywhere. I will
have to isolate each and every phone line and caller ID box; I don't
have the energy for that now.

By the time I could remember my E-mail password, so I could get into my
E-mail ,I was feeling enough better that there didn't seem much point in
bothering anyone.

I guess I will have to go to the doctor and get some migraine meds. I
got mograines frequently for many, many years, I haven't had one for
sucha long time, I forgot just how bad they can get, wspecially with no
meds to help. I wish I had seen the advice about dehrydration; after
throwing up several times, I stopped even tryingto dring water; I just
lost it right awy anyways.

Kenzie stayed with me, which was a great comfort to me. I remembered to
feed her, but ai couldn't find her dish, and had to just put her food
outside the closet on the floor in the bathroom where I keep it. But her
water dish was almost empty when I finally checked it. I'm glad she
didn't run out.

The last few days just seem like a very bad nightmare to me now.
Thank you all for your concern and advice adn of course the purrs which
alwyays are a big help. I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow, but
I'm already a day behind. Nobody does my work if I'm not there to do it,
it just waits for me.
mlabofski@yahoo.co.uk - 06 Feb 2006 11:24 GMT
For anyone that can afford it, or who''s doctor will refer them, I can
only recommend acupuncture.  I've said it before and I'll keep saying
it every time I hear of some poor soul suffering.  I've had hormone
related migraines for 30 years, lasting up to 10 days at a time, and
since I've been having acupuncture (approx 3 months) - I've still had
one a month, but only for one day and can function through it with
meds.

Good luck.  If anyone's in London, I will give you the details of my
guy, he's turned my life around and I think I'm in love with him (only
joking about the last bit!)

Please go see a doctor even though you are feeling better!
