I haven't had much time since I got back from Leeds to stay with my
parents to even read this group never mind post anything, usual cxxp -
I won't bother relating my current stressful stuff that's going on (not
the gas this time!),  but just wanted to say thanks to all for the best
wishes and purrs you sent my dad when he had his cataract operation,
they obviously worked!  He can eat his dinner like a gentleman again
(instead of with a spoon or his hands), he can watch most TV - and read
most of the newspaper - and he hasn't even got his new glasses yet so
his sight should be even better when he does, it's amazing, he's 84 and
it's like he's been given a new lease of life, he even did the washing
up the other night, so mum is very happy!

Thanks again

I'm so glad your dad's operation went well, I thought about him when I read
Irulan's post earlier. Purrs for your other stressful stuff to be resolved.

Yes, cataract surgery can seem like a miracle.  It even helped my mother for
a long time, and she has macular degeneration, which can't be helped.

yes, cataract surgery is miraculous. I just had one last Tuesday and I can
see perfectly well out of my bad eye, even better than the other one. Bless
your Dad, glad he can do things normally again.
