Baggy just made me laugh, he was throwing his mousie in the air then
pouncing on it. He threw it up and it landed on the table, he was looking
all round the floor to see where it had gone.

That's funny!  Persia tosses her mousies then pushes them under the TV stand
and can't figure out where they went :)

Baggy sounds like such a lovely cat (as well as being extremely handsome..)
It made me laugh too when Boyfie scooped up the foil ball, threw it and
pounced on it the other day.  He rose right up on his back legs as high as
he could before he pounced, and he had such an intent look as he did it ;-)
He never plays with his *pretend* mousies, neither does Kitty.  There's a
catnip one and a little furry one that (to me) looks like a real mouse.
They are not fooled and treat them with contempt.
Pouncing is so funny to watch!  Good old Baggy for making his paw laugh.

Is it?  <smile>  I hope he'll do it again sometime, it was really funny to
watch.  Although he seemed a bit embarrassed that I'd noticed.

He's such a sweet little fellow.  Hey, Boyfie, it's *good* to make
your Mommy laugh! ;)

He's still very self-conscious and nervous.  I'm trying to build up his
confidence by praising him a lot.  Getting praise is almost too much for
him, though.
It was wonderful the other night, I was sitting quietly in my armchair and
he came up on my knee for a smurgle.  He laid there loving me for 20
minutes, offering his tummy, purring his very quiet purr, letting me touch
his paws with a gentle touch and then - it became too scary and he ran off
outside.

Heidi has a slightly different SuperDuper Maneuver.  She does
it just occasionally, when I swing the end of a string over her
head.  It's purpose has apparently nothing to do with catching
the string.  The object seems to be to leap straight into the
air, high enough so that she can make at least umpteen swipes at
nothing with her forepaws as she comes down, and then hit the
ground running and be in the next room before any onlooker can
realize that she has just done something utterly and splendidly
silly.

:) Reminds me of a friend of mine who went to a party and tried to impress
the boys by throwing peanuts in the air and catching them in her mouth, (to
be fair, she was only sixteen at the time). She was pretty drunk, and
wondered why some of the peanuts were just disappearing. The following week
the party girl's parents got home from their holiday and found that they had
a light fitting full of peanuts.
