Hi All,
Our d*g, Fox, disappeared yesterday and hasn't come home yet. DH is
convinced that he's gone RB; I'm not yet ready to admit that. DH is
utterly devastated - he has a special bond with Fox. Whilst we wander
the streets and put up signs, please could you all apply the special
power of purr that the bundle of bones will drag his sorry a.s home
and put a happy end to Dave's grief and suffering.
Thanks,
Tish

Many years ago, my then pet d*g, a red cocker named Rex, turned up
missing. I placed a "lost and found" ad in the local papers. On the 5th
day, a woman phoned saying she had seen an old, limping dog answering my
description in an area several blocks away. My son drove to that area and
in passing noticed a "pile of rags" on somebody's lawn. After passing, he
decided to have another look. Yes, it was Rex -- worn out, hungry and in
bad shape. He was kept at the Vet for several days. He had rectal
bleeding from eating chicken bones. He recovered and lived 'til he was 18.
Purrs for your lost one to return home. MLB

Oh, that was always my worst nightmare when I had dogs, that one would go
missing because I loved them so dearly.
So, firstly, how did he get out from your property? Is it easy for him to
wander, or not? Has he gone missing before? If so, why do you think he did
it?
Is he young and perhaps on the love trail?
Huge purrs that he comes home safely. Don't smack him when he does, because
you're angry that he worried you, just smooch him to bits and get the
fencing sorted out ;-)
Tweed
who once spent all day looking for my dog I trusted my late mother with. I
told her not to let him off the lead because I knew he wouldn't stay with
her.
So she did. She'd taken him for a walk in the fields and thought he'd enjoy
it more off the lead.
Aaaargh. He did enjoy it more but of course, he ran away from her.
The good news is that I got him back unscathed, but I still don't know how
he did it. He found his way back home, nearly two miles away, and across
one of the busiest roads imaginable.
I could have clouted him when I saw him outside the house. Of course, I
didn't. I was angry because he'd worried me so much. I gave my mother an
ear-bashing, too. "So, don't let the dog off the lead" "Okay"
Ignore instructions.
Mum's are like that, sometimes, aren't they? They always think they know
better than you. Okay, when you're young they do, but they never believe
that you've grown up and can make your own decisions now.

Dear All,
Many thanks for all the purrs - they have worked. A very tired, but
happy Fox re-appeared this morning at about 10am (after Dave had spent
2 hours walking the streets and I'd done the rounds of the pound and
notice boards). He is being severely punished with cuddles and a
request to *never* do that to us again! DH is very relieved, but also
exhausted from all the emotion!
Thanks again,
Tish

I'm so glad. I didn't get to send purrs as it was the middle of the
night here, but we are hApPy DaNcInG that Fox came home. Give him some
'punishment' from me.

just posted some homing purrs for Fox. I've never seen time-traveling
purrs work that well before.

Thanks Baha, and everyone who sent purrs. We are, once again, a happy
family with the return of Fox yesterday - safe and sound, although
exhausted and hungry. He has done little else but sleep since his
return, except when today's thunderstorm came over and scared him
again.
Cheers and heartfelt thanks,

Tish, I'm afraid I can't alway's get to the latest posts as there are too
many on my pc I can't even remember if I answered your post about Fox but
I'm sure glad to see he is back, I hope he is suitably remorsefuland
promised never to do it again. It is an awful feeling isn't it, best wishes
