How is that, you ask? DH's employer has sent him to the Medical Design &
Manufacturing West (http://www.devicelink.com/expo/west06/ ) convention &
conferend in Anneheim CA! I dropped him off at the airport yesterday
morning, and he's gone until Thursday! The convention doesn't actually
start until Monday (some big meeting) and the rest more of a trade show that
starts on Tuesday. It's being held at the convention center *right* next
door to Disney Land! Aaaaargh
So, not having anything to do today - you know where he is? ****AT THE SAN
DIEGO ZOO!!!!**** !@#%$#$@%#@$%@#%$#W%@#$%@#%@#^ (and that was *not* a cat
walking on the keyboard)
So, in retaliation, I am off to check out Dyson vacuums at one of the many
retail locations around town ;) (the chatter among you guys in the word rant
thread has intrigued me, so I'll place the blame on you!!!)
Oh, and a stop at Petsmart to stock up on cat food, and Wal-Mart to stock up
on Pringles (one of my guilty pleasures - and they're only .85/can at
Wallyworld, compared to about *twice* that at grocery stores, unless you get
them on sale).
I guess I'll just fix myself some sloppy joe's for dinner tonight - it's no
fun cooking for just myself!!!!

I'm trying to picture him on the Teacup ride at Disney Land ;) Or going
through It's a Small World! Heheh.

But he'll see a lot of (big) cats! Did he take a camera?

I do it all the time. I agree, it's more fun to cook for more than one
person (and easier, too) but I'm all for leftovers I can freeze so when I
don't feel like cooking I can just take something out and heat it up.
Play with the bitties. Watch Weeble and the others play with the bitties.
Purrs for you to make it through to Thursday :)

Soooo sorry! I haven't heard it since I was there in 1967 ;) I don't even
have to think about it. But I *do* have to think about friends who come to
visit who want to go to Graceland to see all the junk Elvis left behind when
he died in 1977. That house is like a holy shrine for bad taste in
decorating.

Nah - he's not really into Disney that much - and his hotel is closer to the
zoo (go figure that), and on the same commuter train route that goes to the
zoo.

internet at his hotel)

Weebs hisses and avoids the bitties, but I did see Betty napping on the
tower within 6 inches of him! When she grows up, I will need to tie a
ribbon on her so I can tell her from Weebs! Maybe I'll have TED pierce her
earduring her spay surgery, and get a little diamond earring for her to wear
;)

Actually, we don't sleep with the kitties - as none of them actually want to
*sleep* when in there! I tried last night, and the 3 bittes ended up being
a big ball of wiggle (they were wrestling), which not only pissed off *me*,
but also the other cats that were in there. I ended up throw all the cats
out of the bedroom, except Tennessee, who was zonked out on the window seat.

Heh, Dennis goes away for a month at a time, every other month. But I
guess I'm more used to being alone. And I only have 1 cat!!!
I can relate to the shopping thing. I often shop to fill the time ;-)
But I also cook for myself, I like having good meals to eat. Sometimes
I'm lazy and just have popcorn for dinner, but it doesn't happen too
often.

Okay, if you have a Bed, Bath and Beyond nearby, and one of those 20%
coupons, you can get 20% off of your Dyson. I got my $500 Dyson for
only $400 thanks to that coupon.
HOWEVER, Linens N Things specifically excludes Dyson from their coupon.
BUT, if you can use that same Linens N Things coupon at Bed, Bath, &
Beyond!! Little known fact.
I don't get BBB coupons in my newspaper because they're not local, but
I do get tons of LNT coupons. Save them. They also don't care about
the expiration date.
We return you to your regularly scheduled petting.

Well, he's got great weather for it. My office is 5 to 10 miles from
Disneyland, and the temps are supposed to be in the 70's today. And San
Diego is just about always beautiful.

I have a great sloppy joe recipe I found in a cookbook =) It actually
uses turkey. Usually I can't stand ground turkey, but sloppy joe is
so flavorful that you can't tell. And it's a great opportunity to
sneak in some veggies (celery and bell pepper).

I don't feel comfortable sharing a recipe from a copyrighted book in a
newsgroup ... sorry for the teaser =/
That being said, I will try to remember to send you an email you will
like this evening.

FWIW, I don't think it's necessarily wrong to do that, not if you also
give the book's details: title, author, and maybe a purchase link.
Chak, thinking she wouldn't mind having the recipe herself

Well, I'm pretty sure it's against copyright law, although the author
may not mind.
I went out and found the following, which is just a random website,
but strikes me as sounding right:

This was very interesting, and full of stuff I didn't know. Thanks!
