My 6 mos old little boy cat, Jacob, is not speaking to me tonight. He
won't come to me, and is reluctant to purr for me. On the other hand,
he has stuck to my hubby like glue! I think he is mad at me for taking
him to the vets today for his big snip....

Just keep assuring him it won't happen again----Purrs that he will heal
quickly.   MLB

He'll probably have forgiven you by tomorrow, if he hasn't already.  In
fact, if he's allowed on the bed with you, it will probably be by tonight.

Poor baby. Purrs that he recovers soon and forgives his meowmie.

Poor baby. He'll forgive you. We had to have one of Yoda's claws
removed, and he ignored me (well, he actually AVOIDED me) for two full
days because I was the one who took him.

Sounds like you picked him up to early.

I had to take Rocky in a couple times for wounds he picked up while he
was still feral, and he always avoided me for days afterwards. Then,
when I thought I might end up moving I found him a home as a barn cat
and took him to be neutered.

Due to a couple things, he ended up staying longer than expected, and
when I finally showed up to bring him home he was so happy to see a
famiiar face he didn't pull his normal disappearing act.

I'm sure he'll come around in no time at all.
Best wishes and hugs for doing the right thing,

He has forgiven me. <G> About 9 pm he came into the living room,
climbed up on my lap and tucked himself under my chin, purring away
like a chain saw. Of course, it was almost time to give him wet food
(they get a can at night for a treat). He also started playing again
about that time, so he is feeling better. My other little boy, Evan,
also was snipped yesterday, but he forgave me right away. They are
both lovey boys!

Sounds like he's doing the 'Females are horrible, we boys must stick
together' routine. Of course he could sending mental signals to your husband
along the lines of, "Whatever you do, do not make her angry. See what she
has done if you make her angry." All in a high-pitched way ;-)

Cheers, helen s
