I was talking on the phone today, and absent-mindedly wadded a piece of
aluminum foil in a tight, tight, ball. A bit small than a golf ball.
Tossed it to one of the cats, and I swear, I never saw any toy I ever
bought get so much attention. They *all* played with like they've never
seen a store-bought ball in their lives.

Go figure.

I know, Otis likes the balls of paper I throw him too, also he likes
the plastic bit from the top of containers such as mayonnaise bottles,
dunno why but he chases them for ages.

Caliban loves foil balls, whether home-made or of the store-bought kind.

Oh yeah!  Foil Balls!  Reminds me of the Easter that Stinky got into
the pretty foil-covered  chocolate eggs, and sent them under every
piece of furniture and radiator in the house (ew!).  And there are a
small collection of foil balls that accumulate at the bottom of the
basement stairs.

I've got to sweep under my sofa regularly to get the bits (cat football
sized) of veggie sausage that's been booted under there in disgust!
