As I speak, Little Boy is giving Little Feet what is turning into a
daily grooming. Apparently the integration is going well.
We haven't had any luck locating Little Boy's original people (which
may be just as well - he seems to spook sometimes, in ways that
indicate prior abuse), so it looks like he gets to be love-kitty
number four.
I was separating out sections of the newspaper, when Dulce Mae came
"sliding into home plate" across the discarded sections. She was
playin f'rocious kitty, claiming "Mine! Mine! All mine!" So I played
grab a f'rocious kitty for a while, then kissed her tummy, which is
apparently against the rules - you're not supposed to kiss the
f'rocious kitty. She stalked off to the pillow, with her back to me
(purring - silly girl!).
My stepdaughter (Kerri) stopped by, with her two foster kids - three
year old boy, and a year old girl - Eric and Erica. Little Feet hid,
but the other cats watched. Apparently the kiddos have been around
cats, and like cats (yay!), and know how to be nice to cats(double,
triple, quadruple yay!). Eric gently stroked Buster (who was patient
but nervous) and Dulce Mae (who was curious). Little Boy kept his
distance, but tolerated attention when I brought him over. Little Feet
(who generally likes people a lot) stayed hidden. I thought it was
cute that Eric wanted to say goodbye to the cats when they left.
Little Boy is now being a cuddly, kissy-face boy. That is, he's
kissing my face. And I love how he sticks his muzzle in my ear to
purr.
Buster just cleaned the remnants of lasagna from my plate, there is a
well-needed gentle rain outside, and I've got a couple of technical
books (database and photography) to look through. The other three cats
are close by.
All in all, this is being a very nice day.
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Mark, I'm so shocked and surprised! This is such an unforseen turn
of events. <evil grin> Oh, yeah - congratulations!! :)
