No, not cat toys - but DH considers those grown-up boy toys!  ;>

Understood.  They're just like an electric train set at Christmas.
Originally intended for the kids, but Pop always ends up playing with them!

Uh, that's not Solange - Solange went to NY with Edda.  This cat was
living in the barn when Juliette bought the farm.  Solange is Siamese,
this one is black.  I don't know his/her name - it hasn't been
mentioned in the strip.

Thanks for the correction.  I haven't followed the strip but for a few
months, and didn't see any other cat in the cast of characters so I figured
it was Solange.  I'll have to go into the archives a bit & get caught up.
The Hallmarks of Felinity series in the strip are pretty darn cute.

The Cast page doesn't mention this cat, but it does say that Solange
went to NYC.

I've been following it daily for several years - it's almost always
the first web accessible comic strip I read each day.

BTW, I found a link to the new "Opus" Sunday strip - not cat related,
but it took a long time to find it:
<http://www.uclick.com/client/wpc/wpopu/> - it is actually a
Washington Post link.

Thanks for that.  I haven't followed the strip but I was fairly sure Solange
was Siamese.

My mind wanders off to visit and doesn't always get back.

I could be wrong about that: I just assumed that any color point cat
those people had would be a purebred Siamese.  But the new cat was
discovered in a barn and so would probably be random bred which sort
of shoots down my hypothesis.  (I actually have a color point barn cat
- a red tabby color point though, and certainly not to be mistaken for
purebred anything.)

Cat color genetics=string theory, AFAIC.  It all makes my head
explode.
