Someone mentioned Pill Pockets a while back.  My thanks to whomever
posted that (sorry, I don't recall who did).  Our Hobo is due for a
teeth cleaning Friday and because of his age and condition, he has to
get antibiotics for three days prior.  Because he is allergic to
Clavamox, we were given capsules that wouldn't cause a bad reaction.
First was yesterday, an impossible task.  I won't go into the horrid
details but in desperation my son dashed up to a nearby PetCo and
bought those Pill Pockets.  I didn't think it would work as the
capsule is longer than a pill and would be too obvious....  WORKED
LIKE A CHARM!!!   We're forever grateful.

A tooth-cleaning is ordinarily no big deal but for Hobo, it's a
complicated procedure with a batch of do's and don'ts.  Hoping all
goes smoothly, I'll sure be relieved when it's over.  So will he!!!

Purrs for Hobo's dental. Pill pockets are great - Dan sent me some when
Frank stopped eating his meds-and-sourcream cocktail, and he loved them.
The only problem was, they upset his tummy, so I didn't want to keep
giving them twice a day (if he'd have had some short course of
medication, I might have used them).

It might have been me, because I recently used them to give Licky
some worming pills. I posted here about it soon afterward. He really
enjoyed them, and never had any idea that he had eaten medicine. :)

I'm glad you got it to work for Hobo! And good luck with the teeth
cleaning.

Oh, yes, Joyce, it probably was.  I remember now about Licky and the
worm pills!   You don't know how much I appreciate that post.  It was
absolutely hellish trying to get a capsule down Hobo.  With the Pill
Pockets, Day 2 also went off without a hitch.  And with Speckles
needing a pill twice a day for her hyperthyroidism...light bulb!!!
Why not try them with her too?  Success!!!  Bottom line, thanks a
million for the clue - it's a life saver!!

I can definitely get Will to manufacture some "uneventful
dental" purrs.
