I've just got a picture of the cat that visits my garden, he has got a lot
less nervous since I've been feeding him. At the moment, both he and
Bagheera are both in the garden, they are ignoring each other but hopefully
they will become friends.

What a handsome tomcat face :-) Either un-neutered, or neutered late I
am guessing. Handsome boy!

Not neutered yet, I'm taking things very slowly, I haven't tried to touch
him yet. I hope to get him to the vet before spring.

Good work Adrian - I'm sure you will be able to eventually. Patience is
everything as you are aware.
Are you able to borrow a humane trap from your CP branch? May be useful
when you are just about ready to take him for the snip :-)

There isn't a CP branch officially covering this area, the nearest is
Beverly, about 40 miles away. When they home a cat round here, which isn't
very often, they call me to do the home check for them. I don't think
there'll be much of a problem catching him when the time comes.

He looks like he has cheeks full of nuts. :) I'm looking down at
Betty right now, and in comparison, her cheeks look sunken in. She's
a guurrrl I guess.

I think he has no shortage of nuts :-)
Betty is a dainty beauty to his macho round-cheekedness!

Yes when a mature cat still has his nuts he gets a much fuller face. ;-)

What a handsome boy! I love those fat round faces that un-neutered or
late-neutered toms have. Boyfie's face is quite round with fat cheeks as
he was neutered later than would be normal. My cousin so admired him when
she saw him "Oh, look at his wonderful round smiley face - just like the
Cheshire cat!"
Lots of luck with getting this gorgeous lad used to you, Adrian and purrs
that you will be able to get him to the vet eventually.
Will you pay for his neuter yourself? CPR will pay for a neuter in cases
like this, when he is not your own cat, seems like a stray and needs doing.
They paid for Boyfriend's neuter, it cost me just £5. That was when he was
still semi-wild, I was going to pack him off to the cat's home as soon as he
was tamed and done..
I didn't expect him to creep into my heart quite like he did. I didn't
expect to KEEP HIM! I didn't realise that I had met one of the most
beautiful souls ever.

I will probably pay for it. I know all about the vouchers, during the failed
attempt to set up a CP branch in this area, I was in charge of issuing the
vouchers.

Yep, that's how I ended up with Rocky, too. I had a home picked out
for him with one of my yard customers where I was going to take him as
soon as he recovered from neutering. I didn't realise how attached I'd
become to him until his snip surgery was delayed and he spent an extra
day and night at TEDs. Folks here on the group were telling me I might
as well admit the obvious fact that he already had a home - it was
just the stupid resident hoomin (me) who didn't realise it.

What a handsome boy. It looks like he has that jowly look like
unneutered Toms get. Such a tomly tom. (feline version of a "manly
man?")
