I have a friend who has a Randall Model # RPA-4-A (very low serial
number)1960's era amplifier. He has been told it is, perhaps worth a lot of
$ (which he is in dire need of)(health issues).. I've tried looking on
eBay/internet to get a inkling of what it might be worth(to no
advail)...Does anyone know of where I might get a better idea of it's
worth...Local music instrument dealers have been of no help...They will
"gladly" take it of his hands for a small amount but I get the feeling he'd
be rooked by them..Any suggestions?...Thanks! :-) Liz (please remove the
furrr if responding by private email)

Is this a guitar amp or a home hifi amp?
If it's for guitars, is there speakers in the cabinet, or is it just a "head"
(no speakers)?
This is a tube amp, correct?

It's a guitar amp...and I think it's just the "head" though this model has a
4 channel mixer on board (if I'm not mistaken)...Yes, it is a tube amp...

Talked futher with friend(when he was more clearheaded from the meds)...It's
a early 70's PA/amp head with a 3 mixer on board(one being a
equalizer)...Not tubed... He took it for a clean and testing...saz quality
is great...Would be good for a small startup band or a collector. The unit,
case and hardware show very little wear...

I can't find any info on it.  The only comments I could find on google groops
were derogatory.
I'd suggest asking at a guitar-amp forum.  Have a clear accurate description,
pics are good too.
I'd guess by the model number that this amp is a PA amp, IE, not for guitars.
Solid-state (non-tube) amps are not nearly as collectible as the tube variety.
