At 3pm Eastern, Bam-Bam, Barney & Betty go in for their booster shots,
rabies shots (state law) and will have their spay/neuter ops scheduled.
Betty likes to play hide-n-seek whenever it's time to go into the crate at
night (they are such good kitties, normally settling down right away and
staying fairly quiet until DH's alarm goes off at 5:30. We lock them up in
the carrier at night, as otherwise it's like trying to sleep inside a
pinball machine, with *three* balls going at once!), so purrs please that I
can get them corralled fairly easily this afternoon.
Also, Betty's nipples have developed lumps underneath (Bam-Bam & Barney have
not), and I don't know if this is natural female kitten development (she's
hitting *puberty*) as we've never had kittens this long without getting them
snipped (Ernie, Mimi, Moe & Minnie were all done when they were just about 8
weeks old, these guys are about 12 weeks), or if this is something to worry
about (the nasty C-word), but I'll find out this afternoon. If TED thinks
that it's more than nothing, I will ask them to investigate further during
her spay op.
Also, purrs for my left hand, which I scraped up some yesterday evening
while stepping-er *tripping* over one of the pet-gates (need I add klutzy to
my sig?), I put my hand against the wall to steady myself (so as not to land
on my face, or a cat), and it hit a spot where the wainscoting/chair rail is
fairly rough, and therefore there are two spots near the edge of my palm
that have been scraped raw, and it's still sore (and will probably bruise).
Fortunately, it does not interfere with my slave duties, or the cats would
be fairly upset!

Think like a cat feed them while you have fed them not the regular amount
of food just enough to temp them make sure the carrier are in a room that
can be shut. Get the treats out and tempt them into the room with them once
you got them lock the door. Or if they know get one into the room let the
other see it being done close the door they will want in no matter what
specially if there is a ruckus the other will paw or meow at the door let
them in and close the door. Now you have your prey in sight.

Betty and Barney each weigh 3bs, while Bam-Bam is 3lb, 11oz (he's gonna be a
monster like his big bro Ernie). They did not get their rabies shots this
time, they will get them when they have their ops on Feb 2. TED did feel
Betty's lumpy breasts, and seemed to think that she actually was hitting
puberty, and even suggested a training bra for her! <sigh of relief> My
mind flashed to that mockup-photo of the two cats in the lawn chairs wearing
kitty-bikinis (each wore 4 tops).
Also, my hand is feeling a bit better (never underestimate the power of the
purr), but the scrape is right were it needs to bend, and I no longer have a
band-aid on it, and the scab/scraped skin is getting stiff (drying out) and
that irritates it some.

Have you tried putting some pure vitamin E oil on it? (Not
moisturizer with vitamin E; I mean the oil in a little bottle.)
