Sick as a dog (OT)

No offense to dogs :)  I was supposed to start classes today to gear up for
taking the insurance license exam my dad has been pushing me to do.  I held
a license from 1984 - 1991 but never actually used it for anything; it was
just a perk offered by my then employer.  I was sick all day yesterday and
still feel awful today.  I didn't sleep a wink last night.  So I called and
they've moved me to the class the week of the 16th.  Dad will just have to
live with that.

In the meantime I have 2 weeks to try to get my sleep schedule back on
track.  It's seriously messed up.  I don't think I'd have slept well even if
I weren't sick.  I take Valerian root and it does help, but having been out
of work so long I'm just not on a set schedule anymore.  I could use some
purrs to allow me to sleep during the night again rather than feeling
exhausted by mid-day and not being able to keep my eyes open.

OB Cats:  Persia is going to be seriously confused when I leave her home
alone all day for a week straight after all this time.  Hope she won't be
too upset with the change in our routine.

I can certainly relate to not being able to sleep.  I have to take 3
valerian root capsules, 1 melatonin, 2 Bayer maximum strength back and body
pain pills, 2 Flexerils, and 2 Ambien (one at 10 and another at 2 to *stay*
asleep).

Purrs for you to get back on your normal sleep cycle.

Heck with the purrs ( which you have from all of us anyways :-) )   time to
down about 5 shots to help you sleep some good cognac should do it
stop drinking the caffeine and eating after 6pm that always seemed to help
with me I had one heck of a sleep schedule problem till a couple of weeks
ago  feels good to be relaxing instead working 50+ a week plus the shelter
which I can't wait to get back to once I heal up.

I don't drink caffeine :)  Haven't had a cup of coffee or non-herbal tea in
almost two years and never did drink sodas of any kind.

Purrs for a quick recovery and a reasonable sleep schedule.

Purrs that you feel better and can get your sleep schedule adjusted to a
more "normal" setting.  And purrs for the sweet Persia to forgive Meowmy
when she *abandons* her daily.

I've heard that it can be particularly hard to reset your
circadian clock during the winter.  We'll send along some purrs.
Although Will and Heidi don't really see a problem with being up
at night, they agree that not being able to sleep must be
horrible.  ;-)

Purrs for your sleep schedule to adjust itself, and for Persia to adjust
herself.

I'm just now reading this at 10:45 PM, but I'll send purrs anyway.  I
imagine you can still use them.

I hope you're feeling better now. Purrs for the rescheduled
classes, and for Persia to adapt once you're doing what you want to
do.
