... than to watch "Animal Precinct" on Animal Planet, *especially* when I'm
already depressed.  They were telling the story just now of a kitten who was
thrown from a 3rd story balcony.  She had multiple fractures (both back legs
and her pelvis among others) and was still so sweet and gentle when they
were laying her out for x-rays, even though she had to be in horrible pain.
I'm *so* hoping this story has a happy ending.

Gawd, I really, really hate the human race at times!

Damn, the cat couldn't be saved - during surgery they found that there were
more, older injuries.  The cat had been abused for a long time - all of her
young life.  They euthanized her.

That's the one where they went to arrest the guy at his mother's house, but
he's already been arrested on some other charge, and was in jail awaiting
trial...  At least someone came forward to testify against him, and he
*will* be prosecuted for his actions!

Yeah, but what gets to me is that there even exist such monsters in our
world!  :<
