They rang from the vet's office today. They have Frank's ashes for me to
pick up.

I'm taking the kittens in for a ringworm test next week, so will pick up
the ashes at the same time. Next summer, I will scatter them under the
same wild rosebush as Nikki's.

Nikki, both of them young and healthy and as playful as kittens!

This is the part that I always find very difficult emotionally. I find I am
just beginning to come to terms with the loss of my beloved when the vet
rings and then it hits me in the face again just as hard.
My thoughts are with you, Marina.

I'm remembering picking up Twilight's ashes, almost six years ago. It
WILL get better, though memories of Frank will always be a bit bittersweet.

I can't think of a better place for a cat's final hideaway than a rosebush.
