OK, I just got a new PhotoShop book called "PhotoShop CS Down and Dirty
Tricks" and have been having fun creating some neat effects.  Examples of my
(pictures of my cats) are at http://www.gcmensa.org/images/cats_special/.

If anyone is interested, email me and we can discuss how these were done.

Hugs,

I like Scott Kirby's books. My collection of Photoshop books has a few
of his.

You can see what I've done to Presto (RB) and Little Feet at:

and a few more of my Photoshop excursions are available at my main
site (should be obvious from the thumbnails) at:

Isn't Photoshop a gas?

I love that stegosaurus one. (That's the right dinosaur, isn't it?)
It's the expression on Little Feet's face that makes it so funny.
He looks so alarmed and disturbed, one might believe that Presto
actually had those things protruding from his back.

An oldie but a goodie!

Wow! Beautiful photos of beautiful cats.  The effects are great.  I
especially like the book cover.

Playing with kitty pics looks like great fun. Maybe I'll have to get
PhotoShop too (even tho I usually do my stuff on freeware...).

Cute! Years ago, (I think it was Photoshop Version 2!)...before we even had
digital cameras at the newspaper, I took a pic of Cherokee and stuck the smile
off of a local realtor in place of his mouth. Usually clients didn't come back
to my work area, but she did. She remarked on the pic, and stared and stared at
it. I was totally frozen afraid she'd recognize it was *her* mouth on my cat.

That is too funny!!! I can just hear her thinking, "There's something
familiar about that smile... who *is* that??"

After all, you don't see your own smile that often, unless you
practice in front of the mirror, or spend hours staring at photos of
yourself. So it might look sorta familiar, but it's not like seeing
your spouse's smile or your kids' - which most people would probably
recognize immediately. (Of course, this being a local realtor, she
probably *does* see pictures of herself in local advertising all the
time - oops!!)

I wonder if she did figure it out, and just never said anything.
