We have our very shy feral darling Molly,  she will barely let me touch her
after a year,  She will come sleep on my feet if she is quite sure the boys
aren't coming home to sleep and that I'm sound asleep.

I had overly rambunctious Kayla the eight week old Border puppy out in the
yard,  Molly walks up to her and then there is some sort of negotiation.
Molly leans forward and rubs the side of her face against Kayla's nose.
Then Molly runs away a very short distance, look back at Kayla who has not
moved,  starts running again with Kayla in delirious chase.

Molly has decided she's staying and could be fun to play with.  Besides it
is frustrating Jake who cant find a way to make friends or a reason not to.

Molly sounds lovely.

I hope she calms down more with time.  There is an ex-feral cat
(Chelsea) at the rescue centre where I volunteer, who wouldn't let
anyone near her for a few years but now is the soppiest, softest thing
imaginable.  You can't sit down without her filling your lap
immediately!  So there is hope for Molly, just be patient and give her
the time she needs.  I hope she is cuddling and purring very soon.

It sounds like she is having fun with the puppy anyway!
Congratulations!
