HRFL is feeling pretty lousy. We've had a sneezing virus/flu running
through the house for the last 10 days - everyone is vaccinated so it's
manifested itself in mild cold symptoms, but HRFL seems to be feeling
particularly lousy and had a couple of asthma attacks last night and
this morning, so is off to the TED at 10.30am.
Purrs that it's not very serious would be much appreciated. Quite apart
from the fact I hate my baby boy feeling so lousy, there is no way I can
afford a huge vets bill at the moment. As it is I've had to borrow the
money for the office visit. :o(

Hope it's nothing serious! Allergies can stir up asthmatic symptoms,
so maybe he's been exposed to something irritating recently?
Purrs for a simple and very inexpensive medical problem! Especially
from Smudge, who is curled up with me at the moment, and who knows from
feeling lousy!

We've been to the TED and it seems HRFL has mild pneumonia. He's staying
there today so that he can have antibiotics and use the nebuliser to
help clear his airways and congestion and so TED can check his heart as
because HRFL has HCM, he doesn't want bacteria affecting his heart
valves.
HRFL is being very grumpy apparently, and it looks like he'll be
boarding there for Xmas when I go to the US. :o(

Big purrs for Tiger, particularly for Kumani who hates hanging at the

I'm sorry!! :( I'm glad it's treatable, but unfortunately it does not
sound cheap. Maybe, having asthma, he's more susceptible to lung infections
than other cats? Purrs for a quick recovery!

I'm sorry we didn't get to send purrs before TED visit, but we're
sending purrs for Tiger to feel better soon, and purrs for a quiet,
uneventful stay at TEDs during the holidays. He really will be in a
good place there but I know it must feel bad to have to leave him.
Purrs for you too Helen.

Purrs that it's something that a simple vet visit can take care of. If,
however, he requires more treatment, please post your vet's contact
information here so I can call in a small amount on my credit card towards
the payment.

Thank you so very much for the offer Catnipped, but at this moment in

OK, but be sure to let us know if you need some help! Forgoing the cost of
a lunch eaten out in order to help a cat is hardly felt by a single person,
but when you multiply that by *lots* of friends, it can really save the day
(or more importantly, help save a furry master!).

Purrs for HRFL to feel better very soon. I think it is hard for asthma
kitties to shake such things. Pearl seems to have had a looping one for two
weeks, in which for two days of the week she is goobery. She gets over it
but it came back. If it comes back again, we'll have to address that.

Cinders seems to have a cold today; she keeps sneezing every few
minutes, but hasn't shown any other symptoms. I spent the week before
Christmas visiting my sister in Richmond, Virginia, so Cinders was
boarded at the vet's office. I suppose she might have picked up an
infection there, and the incubation period lasted until today.
