I have had the biggest fight for my dinner with the boys that I've had
for a long time. What was it? Take-out soft tacos (very yummy ones),
with nice, juicy marinated chicken (not all dried out), rice, black
beans, and a nice fresh tomato salsa. JEEZ, they were ALL OVER ME.
They were circling like sharks!! Stinky actually grabbed a corner of
the tortilla and ripped it off.

LOL! And Stinky probably cursed that there wasn't any meat in that
corner.

You never know. The other evening, I cut up some carrot sticks for a
snack, and Miranda was veeeery interested. I showed her a stick, saying
the classic last words, 'you don't like this.' She licked the stick and
continued for a long time licking it! She didn't eat it in the end, though.

Chloe always tries to climb up my legs when I'm preparing food and I always
have to look at her and say those classic words, too. Tyrone isn't ever
really interested in anything but chicken or turkey, Chloe only likes crab
and Pua doesn't have any interest in the kitchen at all except to hang out
with me.
We got a gift package from a buddy of ours up in Alaska and he even added a
bag of gourmet smoked halibut and salmon kitty cat treats. I thought the
cats would go crazy over them! And they did, at first. Now, they use them
as toys to bat around on the floor and I have to sweep them up later. I've
discovered that when they dry out they get really hard and it hurts when you
step on one in the middle of the night with bare feet. :~)

He actually loved the tortilla! A soft taco is apparently full of
delights I can't even comprehend. ;)

It's like bloody Lily. "EVERYTHING" I eat, she has to taste. Unlike my
other cats, she doesn't see why she should sit politely and wait for a
titbit. No, SHE just helps herself from my plate. Little cow. I had a
beautiful grilled piece of salmon on my plate this evening - or I did
until I turned my back for 30 seconds to reach for my wine and the
little cow snagged it. ;o)

That was totally Stinky in his hooli days. He was RELENTLESS. The
really funny thing about the dynamic in the house nowadays, with
Stinky as the disapproving grownup is that he was really MUCH
NAUGHTIER than Dante ever is. ;)

For a carnivore a cat sure likes a lot of veggies and grains.Amber
(RB) loved pizza sauce and crust but not the meat and cheese on it.

Pizza is a surefire cat magnet around here, too. Stinky loves to sit
on the boxes. ;)

Smokey spent a fair portion of his wild days foraging in the trash when
there was no prey to be found. A lot of people on staff got around
icky mess-hall offerings by ordering takeout pizza. smokey ate well on
the leftovers.
If we bring home a pizza, no power on earth will convince Smokey that
the entire thing is not for him.
