My cousin adopted two kittens a few weeks ago and has some very cute
pictures of them on his web site.  The black one is Julie, and the
tabby is Dot.  Strap on some protective headgear if you're prone to
fainting spells =) and head over to

Just what I needed, a dose of kitten cuteness. Thanks, lovely pics! I
think those kittens will soon have the d*ggy well trained.

I hope they helped.  I'm so sorry about Frank.

Julie had the dog scared pretty much right off the bat.  Loki (dog)
wasn't at all used to being hissed at like that.  Julie has mellowed but
still won't take any crap from Loki.

Dot loves Loki, though, and goes to her for comfort nursing.  Loki licks
her and covers her in dog slobber. =)  Other times, she carries Dot
around in her mouth.

Very cuuuute! And Dot has such ferocious teeth! (Picture #1359)

Is Julie much older? She looks a lot bigger.

Andy was telling me that she's just plain ferocious if you have food she
wants.  And when she gets the food, she just growls the whole time she's
eating it, more loudly if you get too close.  Sounds like a riot, though
she wouldn't "perform" when I got to see them.

Dot is 8 or 9 weeks old in most of those pictures (actually taken nearly
a month ago), and Julie is 6 weeks older, so about 14-15 weeks there.

That's pretty funny. I once had a kitten who did that. He was a very
sweet kitty, actually, loved people and would come bounding in from
wherever he was the minute you called him. But he was aggressive with
food - sucked his own down in seconds, and would then shove the other
cats away from their bowls and eat theirs, too. I finally had to feed
him in the bathroom with the door closed, so the other cats could eat
in peace! But anyway, he would often growl while eating, even if you
weren't doing anything even vaguely threatening. And if you *did* try
to take the bowl while he was eating, he would grasp it with both front
paws and hold on - with pretty strong grip, too!

I eventually found a new home for him. He and his sister were "accidents"
(long story - his mom got pregnant before I had the money to get her
spayed). To this day I regret having given him away - he had so much
personality, and a tremendous amount of affection, that I wish I'd had
the sense to keep him!

He Heeeee! Definite KFW. Boy, you can tell who is "character cat" of those
two. Julie looks extremely patient with little miss Dot!

That's about what I thought when I first saw the "piggyback" pic.  That
one cracks me right up.

Bummer that they'll be nearly a year old the next time I get to see
them, though.  It's a long-enough drive that I only get down that way a
couple times every year.  Kittenhood is so fleeting...
