What to wear? Clean, professional, but nothing *too* nice, I'd say.
You want to look like you're ready to get covered with animal fur. :)

(One time, at a vet's office, one of the techs was holding my cat, but
she held her out, away from herself, exclaiming, "she's going to shed all
over my pants!" Well, gee, hon, why are you wearing pants to work in a
VET'S OFFICE that you don't want to get animal hair on?? Somebody's not
very clear on the concept...)

your experiences the past couple of years must have helped you see
what you really value.  I know that work can make me either very
