Goodbye, Frank. Nothing will hurt you now. Many cats have been loved as much
as you, but _none_ have been loved more. I'm lighting a candle for you, you
will never be forgotten.

I've been having a quiet weep this afternoon. A candle is lit for Frank and
a quiet prayer for Marina too - to help her through her grieving.

Hugs and tears and a candle lit... Frank will be with his beloved Nikki on
the island. They will romp together and catch lots of mousies and play on
the beach. Meanwhile, Mir and Cali will bring some peace to your sore
heart.

I will light a candle tonight for Frank, and for you, Marina, as well
as for my beloved Circe (RB, Dec. 8, 1994).
It's a sad day all around (and let's not forget the anniversary of
John Lennon's death as well).

Dearest Frank,
Farewell, may your final journey be a surcease from all physical pain. Your
gentlemanly presence will be sorely missed here on RPCA. Rest assured, we
will do our best to support and comfort your beloved Marina in the days and
weeks ahead. I'm sure Miranda and Caliban are well trained to be the best
comfort and company to her that they can be, too. After all, they were
trained in the art of Feline Love by you, the master of the art.
A last loving ear scritch and gentle stroke down your spine, and a
farewell purr to you. Know that you were loved to the fullest extent of any
human heart. I will never believe that animals have no souls, for surely,
you do. (And when you pass over the bridge and find a little black and white
spotted lady with golden eyes, tell Isadora her meowmy still loves and
misses her, although I have found some worthy successors.)
((((Marina))))

I was away from the puter all day today, but I was thinking of Marina
and Frankie all day. When I finally got to log on,the tears just
started to come and wouldn't stop. The great Frank. The fabulous
Frank. The venerable, unequalled sweet Unka Frank. We will *all*
miss him, and are thinking of you, Marina. Mighty, mighty, rumbling,
healing purrs.

Crying also...
If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why
Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No on will ever know
But know we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store
Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay

Everyone. I'm overwhelmed with all the love emanating from this group.
I've been reading all your messages, and I feel like Frank was washed
away by a wave of love from all the corners of the earth. After the vet
took his poor little body away, I felt stunned and did not feel
anything, but all your messages have made me cry and cry and cry, and I
think that's a good thing. Thank you all for being here for me, and
thanks to Julie for being on IM last night (and Caroline for being
there, though we didn't chat).
Miranda and Caliban are being the sweetest babies. Caliban comes up to
me all the time and wants to be held and purrs his fuzzy little head off
in my ear, and whenever I look around, Miranda is there, just watching
over me. She is meatloafing up on the cat tree beside my chair right now.
The vet was wonderful. I'm so grateful to her for coming to my home. And
she said I can pay her in January, when I take Mir and Cali in for a
checkup (they're getting the ringworm treatment now), and I can pick up
Frank's ashes then, too. I'm so glad I changed vets after Nikki died.

I haven't been online all week, so I missed reading about Frank. I'm so
sorry Marina. He was a grand little spirit and was a lively and lovely
member of our group. I know that all of us will miss the little guy and are
sending support and sympathy to you and your family on your loss.
