Here in balmy Texas, it is currently 25 degrees F (-4 degrees C), with
high winds (so the wind-chill is sub-teen). Because of the sleet and
freezing rain at rush hour, I took my time getting home.
When I got home, however, there was a big surprise waiting for me.
Buster, Little Feet and Dulce Mae were sulking in the bedroom. A
pretty little girl cat, halfway into her pregnancy, was sitting on the
cat tree, purring away. Spot/Sir Richard was sitting on the arm of the
chair by the window. Even mean old Acqui was meatloafing atop the air
conditioner.
Three additional cats. Hmmm.
Eventually, Acui's meowmy comes knocking on our door; "I knew Acqui
had to be over here. When I saw him in the window, I called him a
furry little traitor." She collects Acqui, and goes home.
A few minutes later, Spot's person comes knocking on our door;; "I
knew Sir Richard had to be over here. When I saw him in the window, I
called him a furry little traitor." He collects Spot, and goes home.
The pretty little girl, however, seems to be homeless, as well as
tailless.
When Senyah left the living room to talk to me while I changed
clothes, the girl kitty cried. She apparently doesn't like to be
alone. Senyah says she has been following her around the apartment,
and rubbing her cheeks on Senyah for a couple of hours.
Little Girl is sweet, and has a mighty purr. I hope she has people and
that they are looking for her now...
It cracks me up that all the other cat people around here know that
we'll watch out for their babies (grin).
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Oh Mark. I'm thinking you have another project kitty. Good luck. And
thank Senya for taking her in in that miserable cold.

Awwww - I always love hearing about your cat community Mark. Earlier this
week, I took a trip down memory lane on google and re-read the Bubba Kitty
story. Any word on how he's doing these days?

I haven't seen him for several months, but last I saw, he is doing
great, and happy with his meowmy. His coat is shiny, his eyes shine,
and he still has a love-tastic purr (grin).
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Lots of purrs and best wishes that the little girl's people come to take
her home really soon, and thank you so much for taking care of her in
the meantime,
