Betty & Bam-Bam will eat dry, but Barney screams for canned!  At first, when
I mixed them, Barney spit out the dry kibble :(.  But now, he does eat it...
but still prefers the canned.

As is their duty, being hoolikittens, they get into, under, over and around
anything possible.  Betty gets *behind* the dresser, and goes all the way
from one end to the other, and then pops out - while her brothers are still
looking for her at the other end!

Today, as an experiment, I opened the bedroom door, but put one of the
doggie gates up, flush with the floor, and sat back and watched.  All three
rubbles lined up at the gate, looking out.... Smokey approached from the
other side, sniffing "what are these little things?"... Then Tennessee &
Ping came up as well.  Lizzie watched from the comfort of a pile of blankets
on the recliner.  Three kittens sniffing three adults....  Then an adult
hissed!  I think it was Tennessee - but I don't think he was hissing at a
kitten, I think he was hissing at Ping (he got too close).  All three
kittens puffed up - and Betty ran under the bed while Barney and Bam-Bam
looked to me for guidance/help.  I gathered them up and comforted them.  I
left the door open while I gathered up laundry, then about 15 minutes later,
Bam-Bam & Barney were back at the gate - but they were all puffed and
looking *in*.  Ping and Tennessee had jumped the gate... Tennessee's
interest was the window seat, but Ping was following the kittens!  That
spooked them.  I'm sure Ping means no harm - after all, he's a clown - he
just wants to play.

You are a very lucky person to have the little bundles of joy in your life
right now :-)

Why not feed them canned?

Man, I've worked hard to get Oscar to eat canned after growing up on
dry!  But she's a much more energetic cat now.

Canned smells.  Then you have all these empty cans to dispose of, and our
county *charges* (in addition to taking our tax money) for pickup - and yes,
we do recycle, but sometimes it gets unmanageable!

Plus, all our other cats are on dry - which they prefer (it's their
choice) - but they do get some canned for a treat occasionally

How adorable!  Ping following kittens!  But in my mind, he still is a
kitten.  Weeble too.  I hope they become good friends.
