I just posted 3 photos to alt.binaries.pictures.animals under the thread
"Duffy Decorates the Christmas Tree."  Duffy may be blind, but you can see
from these photos that he doesn't know the meaning of the word "can't."  (Of
course, many of you already knew that.  I think Duffy has a fan club of his
own.)

They are awesome! He's quite the character! Now, picture the same
situation but with 2 large orange fuzzballs in the tree. That's where
we'd be if we put one up!

That's why I bought such a large and heavy tree.  I wanted to be sure that
two cats could not cause it to tumble.  Of course, it's so heavy I have to
ask a friend to set it up and take it down every year.

*OHMYGAWD*  How cute is that!  Those are *priceless* christmas pictures -
thanks so much for sharing them.  Duffy is indomitable!

Yes, he really is.  It's incredible to see him climb everything in sight and
yet avoid causing any damage at all.  Sometimes I think his name should be
"Radar."

This is what Duffy looked like at the animal shelter when I adopted him.  In
fact, this was the picture posted on Petfinder that led me to adopt him.
He's now "cute as a button" (just like you said), but he looked like a
little lost waif then.  He had been in a cage at the shelter for several
months, and I suspect he may have been neglected for some time before that
because of his bedraggled look -- and the speed at which good food and care
changed him so completely.  It breaks my heart to think of what he went
through, but he now has a forever home and will never have to face anything
like that again.

Ahh, but he still had such character!  I think he was adorable, but
then, I'm a sucker.

Stinky was no beauty when I brought him home-- if anything he was cute
in an ugly way-- it was his personality that won our hearts.  But he
responded so quickly to having a home that he literally blossomed
before our eyes.  People who meet him always comment that he seems to
"glow."

That's a perfect description!  People who have never lived with cats just
don't understand what wonderful (and varied) personalities they have.  And,
I think almost any cat that is given good care is beautiful (and that beauty
often shines through even in the scruffiest and most neglected situations).

A prime example also is Miss Lily Whiskers.  Nobody looking at her
would even guess that she'd been through so much in her short little
life. She's quite a charmer.

Same with Smokey.  His fur was all gritty and his bones stuck out and I
remember him attempting to jump through the window a few times because
he didn't understand what glass was.  And prowling around the back of
the TV hoping to catch those animals "inside" by surprise...then
wondering where they were.

Now everyone remarks on our handsome boy.  He's so damn domesticated,
it's pathetic.

I never get tired of seeing Duffy's "before" and "after" pictures - it's the
perfect example of what love can do!

I'm a biiiiiiiig fan of Duffy, not just because he's a cat, but because of
what he's accomplished in spite of being blind. What a wonderful cat he is,
and God bless you for making him yours.
