Cleaning out the litter box

I think I have got control over what my two Devon Rex cats, Teti and
Tinùviel, eat and drink. They are indoor cats, and by that they don't go
stealing food anywhere else.

So, after having taken care of them for about four years now, I am
convinced, and somewhat confused: They eat and drink less than they let out
in the litter box!

How is that possible?? Of course, I don't use a weight to find out, it's
just my eye measurement, but anyway it seems to be that way. They are too
stupid to open the refrigerator or the cupboards, and I don't miss any of my
clothing, papers, books, tobacco or anything else, so how come?

I think it is the same principle that governs what happens when you try
to repack an electronic gadget for return to the store. Somehow it doesn't
fit back inside the box it came out of.

We've had the opposite problem here, no more Elephant poops in the box. Cleo
has changed to maintenance food, so that explains her shortage, but we're
not sure about Smokey. Cali has always done delicate little Rabbit poops.

As for the size of your deposits, I think one of the other kitties has been
teleporting K-Rations. I suspect Boyfie from the Kitchen with a Mouzie.

LOL! Maybe not one of his mousies as I cannot get cross with him for that,
it does save them coming into the house but I wouldn't put it past him to
teleport some of his birdies over so I don't find out he got them!

I'm no expert but I seem to recall being told that bacteria make up a
large proportion by weight of what we (therefore presumably all animals)
excrete.

If that is so it might explain the surplus.

Since you are obviously starving poor Teti and Tinùviel, the mother ship
has been beaming down MRE rations (Mice, Ready to Eat)

(Note: MRE's are the standard food of the USA armed services, in combat
zones; it stands for Meals, Ready to Eat).

According to a former Australian army mate of mine, they're called Rat
Packs (ration packs) here which is also pretty appropriate for the kitties.
