I was holding Basho on my chest while pretending to watch TV last night.
He was getting all kinds of cuddles and every so often I would blow
gently into his face. He then tried to nip me in the nose, but I moved
my head back just in time. This went on for a good 15 minutes. I had to
rearrange my body and Basho got up, put his front paws on my chest and
looked me straight in the eye. And then he bit me! Hard! Right in the
tip of the nose!
That's a bad kitty! :)
He then curled up again on my chest and demanded scritches. The nerve of
this one!!!

Hah. If I tried to hold on to Oscar while blowing on her, I would
have the scars to prove it.

LOL! But why? Wasn't it a naughty thing for him to do, so why reward him
for it?

Well, I was bugging him first by blowing on his face. :)

Ok, fair enough. I don't think either of mine would appreciate that either!

That's what you get for blowing your dorito breath on him for 15 mins.
Either that, or you turned the cat on
I know your a man, so this aint for you...
but If a woman held me on her chest for a while, blew in my ear, and
rubbed my belly?
I might bite her too!

Didn't you know? All cats find that being blown in the face is a very
impolite and unfriendly thing to do. When I was a very fresh cat owner,
about 25 years ago, I tried to teach the cat right from wrong by blowing in
his face. It didn't work, the cat just couldn't understand the meaning of
this. When I started yelling at him and throw him off tables and so on, it
worked much better, suddenly we were speaking the same language!
You really deserved that bite from him. It was his last message to you
"Please stop it, you moron!"
Hope your nose is healing all right... ;-)
Best wishes for Basho and you
Hans

It is hard to resist the urge to blow on the kitties' faces, but I find it
equally satisfying to blow on their bellies instead. They don't seem to mind
that as much, and usually just kick rather than bite.
