Grace, how are you doing sweetie?

As hard as it is to get through, the wake and funeral is when you have the
most support, the most family and friends around you to help you.  It's
afterwards, when everybody has gone home and back to their lives - that's
when it gets really hard.  It's every morning when you wake up and it hits
you all over again, a thousand times during the day when you start to do
something for her and realize she's not there, every evening when you lie
down and wait for the sleep that won't come - that's when you need help to
get through.

Please let us help as much as we can (which is too little, I know).  If you
need to talk, we're here to listen - feel free to ramble as much as you
need.  If you need everyone to just leave you alone and quit reminding you,
then let us know that too and we will.

We're here for you, still thinking of you constantly, still purring for
little Eve.

Hugs,

CatNipped

Count me in with those above sentiments - I've been there.

Purrs for Grace to stay strong.

Huggles to Grace, Jody & Abi.

I lit a candle last night for Eve, and then it rained. Boy, did it rain! And
that little candle out there, all by itself, shone on through it all.

While rain is generally considered "bad weather" in most parts (especially
Florida at the moment) rain is a priceless gift here in Oz. And that candle
shining its bright light all the way through the storm too.... I couldn't
help but thinking that in some way, it was right.... Eve's little light
still shining brightly even though everything would tell you it shouldn't
be, and the blessings of renewal (the precious water) coming through... it
was a very bittersweet moment.

Not a child or a grandchild - I can't even imagine what Grace is going
through.  But in the last year I have lost two dear friends (one to
suicide).  And I remember what it was like when I lost my father.  There are
whole blocks of time - 2 or 3 minutes, maybe as long as 5 minutes - when
you're *not* thinking about it, and then it hits you all over again like a
ton of bricks.

Hugs,
