I put up with a lot from this cat. She tries to bury just about everything -
telephones, keyboards. shoes, socks, you name it, she tries to bury it. As I
type this, she's trying to bury her water dish - pulling whatever's in a
3-foot radius of the dish, into the water.... give me a break....

And this morning at about 5:45 (I didn't get to sleep until almost 2:00)
someone was fighting in the living room and woke me up - no problem, I would
have slept through it but for a full bladder, but when I tried to leave the
bed she almost attacked me.

See, she gets *very* upset when she sees anyone fighting, she has a sort of
panic attack and starts wheezing and growling and hissing like she was in
mortal danger or something, and you don't *dare* get close to her at such a
time, and here she was on the bedside table doing this thing and keeping me
trapped in the bed, meanwhile my bladder was screaming "Empty me - NOW!!"

And after she "got lost" (at least a year ago, I think it was) she stayed in
the house 99.99% of the time after I found her and brought her home, now
suddenly she's going in and out about fifty times a day and wearing out the
cat flap.

Remember, this is the cat who's deathly afraid of my brassieres. I never
know when she's gonna exhibit yet another bizarre behavior.

Is she pure white?

No, she's all grey, with a tiny white bib. I think her belly would have
white fur, if her belly had any fur, but her belly's always been bald.

It's interesting that you say that.  I asked because I once owned a
pure white female who was exactly as you say.  Later we found out that
she had tumours, which we were told are more common in white cats due
to their typically inbred genetics.  They eventually moved into her
brain and she literally went insane.

The bald thing, though, reminds me of my friend Lauren's cat, Nerdy.
They always thought she was bald on the belly, but when she started
acting out and getting sores around her mouth, they took her to the vet
and put her on birth control pills!  Sound's bizarre, especially since
the cat was fixed.  Apparently there were hormone issues after the
hysterectomy, and she mowed the hair down on her belly before anyone
ever even knew it existed.  The pills cured her.  She was sane and
hairy-bellied the last time I saw her.

Cheers,
Azy!

Oh, that's funny. Biskit is deathly afraid of a weird thing too. It is
one of those plastic zip-up bags that you store blankets in. She is
terrified of it. I wish I knew why.

Somehow, that makes more sense to me. For a bag to be big enough to fit
a blanket inside it, it's going to look pretty big to a cat. Plus, the
zipper makes a noise that might be unnerving to a cat.

But, afraid of a bra? That's a new one. I didn't know that about Baby
Eyes. Is she afraid of other undergarments, or is it just bras? :)

She has been observed giving underpanties a wide berth on a few occasions,
but it's mostly just bras.

LOL, not at Baby Eyes, but somehow this conversation thread just had me in
stitches.

I think I've finally found something stranger than the sight of Kumani
trying desperately to eat sunbeams.
