Winter, such as it is, has arrived in this part of Texas. The nip in the
air had quite an effect on Cinder, who spent the morning zooming about the
back yard, trying her best to capture and kill blowing leaves.
A particularly dangerous looking leaf caused her to puff up, assume the
Halloween cat pose and jump sideways like a kitten. A black cat, she looks
pretty authentic for the role.
Rosie, meanwhile, who survived her first winter as a homeless waif, chose to
stay inside and amuse herself by opening and exploring all the cabinets.

It's so cute when adults get all kitteny!

Our mornings are just starting to become a bit nippy for spoiled California
cats. They always want out as soon as anyone is up as they prefer that to
their litter box (and who am I to complain?) But ten minutes later Molly
zoomed back to the door in a complete panic. Its too cool to leave the door
stand open, it was much colder out than she expected, and she'd forgotten to
eat breakfast. As a former feral she is much more careful to check in every
few hours to make sure she still lives here and there is still food in the
bowl, etc.. And much more apt to head in if the weather is threatening.
Jake pretty much is unconcerned as he knows we will come looking for him

Persia yells she wants out in her kitty walk; but it's darned cold outside!
There are leaves and pine needles all over but she's just itching to get at
them! But then she finds out it is COLD.... "Meow-Ma!" (let me in!) Poor
baby now remembers what it was like in January, 2001 when she was outside
freezing . Okay, kittie, come in and snuggle with me! You now have a
forever home.
