Purrs for all who need them.  I've been gone since Thursday and got back
home today.  Tired, but happy!

And Persia is happy and Peaches is happy!  And the vet where I boarded them
didn't forget to give be back their food, Persia's collar or anything else!
YAY!  Of course by now I'm an expert and asking they make sure of all that.

Persia has been a regular love-bug since I got her home.  First she did her
usual inspection of the premises to make sure no one stole a room while we
were gone.  I can practically see her with a check list as she walked around
to secure the premises:

Kitchen [check]
*important little room* (pantry) where my food is [check]
Dining room [check] - boxes to play with in there [check]
Hallway with litter box [check]
Living room [check] - gotta scratch the sofa [check]
Big sleeping room [check]
Kitty fountain fresh and running in Big sleeping room [check]
Big sleeping room closet [check]
Birdie view (patio) from the Big sleeping room [check]
Bathroom [check]
Living room [check]
...then back...
other bedroom (office) [check]
Other bathroom by litterbox [check]
Closet in office with soft sleeping stuff in it [check]
Kitchen entryway... where's my food?  Oh! [check]

She compared her checklist, determined everything is as she left it.  Then
she proceeded to wander around like a drill instructor and tell me what is
wrong with the world.  After all that we were both tuckered out and took a
nap together.  She has forgiven me for taking her to the smelly place for 4
nights.  All is right with her world. :)

P.S.  I had a great time!

Welcome back! Glad you had a good time and Persia was forgiving. It's
nice to know you've got a place they're safe and you don't have to
worry about them. Don't know what I would do if we ever decide to
actually go somewhere.

They *love* Persia!  She's so sweet, who could not love her?  She gets upset
when I take her there but then she settles down and has her own big kennel
with a soft blanket and a litter box.  If there aren't other cats being
boarded they give her the run of the room and she sits on top of *her* cage
and meows at anyone who walks by.  This, of course, has the desired affect
and they go in and give her scritches. :)

They love Peaches, too, but they aren't used to birds.  They have access to
an avian vet should she need one and I've coached them in things to look out
for, but although they board an occasional parrot, Peaches is mostly an
oddity to them.  They love the fact that she starts chirping when she hears
running water!  Yep, she loves that.  Wish there was a way to give her a
tiny fountain in her cage :)
