I have a woodburner so I constantly need kindling for it, a lot of which I
can get from my own garden as I have a lot of trees which shed branches.
I'm beginning to run out, though.
Next door house is empty, with a big overgrown garden with lots of fallen
branches so I thought why not?  They are only going to rot there and I could
use them!
So I crept over the fence and Boyfriend crept through with me. I broke up
some fallen branches and put it in paper sacks to dry out to keep us warm.
I was a bit nervous because it felt like trespassing and stealing but Boyfie
stayed with me the whole time and we both shot back through the fence and
into the house when we were finished and had got the wood..like we were
guilty or something!
My partner in crime, darling Boyfie. He always helps his meowmie.

IMHO  Whoever owns the house would probably appreciate your efforts in
keeping their yard looking nice.  If you are ever confronted, just say you
wanted your neighbors yard to look neat and clean.   MLB

He is indeed the sweetest cat I've ever known, but as for him protecting me,
he's not exactly the bravest cat I've ever met!  This would have been a job
for Kitty FC, whose bravery is legendary. Had she not retired through
advanced age and not been snoozing in front of the fire, she would have
protected me for certain. All 5lbs of her ;-)

But Kitty FC was protecting you from the fire greeblings, making sure they
didn't escape while you were out of the house. ;-)

I just knew it! You're her lucky charm, Boyfriend. Never leave her side.
We don't want her to have more accidents.
