Ah ha! I see you too!

actually humane dentist. Guess what - it's a she.

Vernon still got problems. Now he's got bad gout too :(

Nathan is fit, as are the felines - so that's all right.

I've been thinking about you a lot this past week - I've had a huge
toothache (not nearly as bad as yours, so I can really sympathize - my jaw
isn't swollen, it's just really, really achey).  I'm going in for a root
canal on the 19th (for a different tooth!!), and going in this Saturday to
see what's going on with the hurting tooth (probably have to have a root
canal on that one too).

Have they offered to give Vernon a lithotripsy?  I had one in 2004 and the
newest way they do it I was in and out in 4 hours with no pain and no
complications!

Dentists of the female persuasion  are the best kind.  Mine is
fantastic.  Expensive but fantastic.

Purrs for Vernon's health problems to clear up.  Has he tried drinking
cranberry juice for the kidney problems?

It's good that there are some members of the household who are fit.  I
hope Waffles has been a good nurse for you both.

Thankfully mine's an NHS dentist - so I've still got to cough up dosh, but
not as much as if I'd been a private patient.

He is about to turn into a cranberry. I bought loads and I keep saying
"Drink! Drink!"

So glad you found a good dentist! I found one last year, too, and she
just sent me a reminder about my check-up. This is the first time in my
life that I quite look forward to having my annual check-up!

I've been exceptionally fortunate. One of Vernon's clients is a dentist. He
advised on the process of How To Be Seen via NHS route. Basically he told us
where the dental hospital clinic is that runs an emergency service. So I
went there. To cut a long story short - the dentist I saw there was AWFUL -
had me reduced to tears in the car park... (this was *not* Vernon's client
by the way). Vernon's client was not best pleased at the treatment I'd got -
so he stepped in and made an appointment for me to see the BIG CHEESE, who
happens to be a woman and an incredibly humane dentist. I just wish all
dentists were like her & Vernon's client!

For your part of the world, one suggestion I'd received was to go to Guy's
where there's a dental school and emergency dental clinic. You are seen by
the trainees, but there are supervised at all times by their teachers.

So glad to hear you finally found a decent dentist! Worth bearing the
Guy's option in mind should any extensive work need doing, thanks!

Hi Dan.

Dental situatin is under control. Long story. Found incredibly humane
dentist. Am scheduled to have the offending item removed. The nice dentist
has given me "New! Improved!" anit-biotics which are getting the abscess
under control whereas the ones the butcher gave me did nada.

Welcome back, Helen. Does this mean you've ditched A O Hell?
I hope your dental problems have been sorted out now and you're free from
pain. Also hoping Vernon has finished passing those painfull stones.

Greetings.

Yes, I now have no need of AOHell or V21. Deepest Rural Norfik now has
electricity in the form of broadband and I'm just a out sorted... apart from
the fact BT were supposed to have given me 2MB bb, but have only given 1MB
bb, but are charging for the 2MB....

Life would be boring if it were simple...
I'd like a bit of a boring life for a while at least!

You may be better off with a reliable 1MB connection rather than an
intermittent 2MB, my aunt has 1MB and I have 2, apart from a few seconds
difference in downloading large files ther's not much to choose between
them. Upload speeds are the same whatever your connection.

Well we are *supposed* to have 2MB as we are on a business package & BT are
charging up for 2MB - so they can darned well pull the finger out and get me
2MB!! ;-)

Thanks - on the mend, sort of. Vernon still not too good, but the way we see
