He captured the hearts of everyone at TED's with a display of fearless
investigation and total friendship to all, even the ones in scary white
coats.
I collected him at 3 pm, just 5 hours later, and found he'd already been
enjoying an hour's cuddling with the staff. He was VERY pleased to see me,
though, and purred all the way home.
Snowball took even more offence at the horrid TED-smell and has been extra
growly-hissy all evening. Bandit is his usual calm & friendly self.
Claudius took no notice and has been fuller of beans than a Heinz factory:
the snooze left him with far too much unused energy. He's been zooming ever
since getting home; upsetting the d-pet's waterbowl & getting soaked in the
process, snaffling the senior boys' unfinished lunch before I could stop him
(I wanted him to wait for some boiled Coley), eating 2 suppers - albeit
slowly as I fed him in small instalments - of said Coley, jumping all over
the d-pet, killing my slippers and his favourite mousie, ripping up his
current (now ex) cardboard box, destroying my wooden letter rack, making me
play "throw" for an hour with his blue bottletop, so making up fully for
lost time.
Truly he's now that most terrifying thing, more frightful than a
Hoolikitten: a Hoolikitteen.
Empty of food he weighed in at TED's at 3.9 kilos, btw.
His acne is minor, probably hormonal or else caused by inadequate
chin-cleaning after he's troughed as he dives in with his whole snout. He
had an antibacterial scrub but I have no further treatment to give other
than to wipe his chin with a wet tissue after meals. I'd started doing that
already and the spots had begun to wane. No plastic dishes in this
household: all the boys get stainless steel, washed after each meal. I used
to use bone china as I use for myself (no favouritism here) but that
gradually diminished in quantity (I'm clumsy) so there's not enough left.
Thanks for all the purrs, folks, and we're now at full strength to purr back
for those in need.

I'm so glad Claudius (I keep wanting to write Clavdivs) is OK, I've been
checking all evening to see how he was.

LOL! Sounds exactly like when Caliban got home. He couldn't stay still
for a second that day. Glad to hear Claudius came through his de-nutting
with flying colours, too.

Glad to know that Claudius has weathered the Big Snip in fine style.
=o) Doesn't sound like the loss of his naughty bits has slowed him
down, much, either!
