Hi!

Last night I saw two kittens living behind a dumpster in Edgewater (Anne Arundel
Co.), MD.  Does anyone know of any group that will go pick these kittens up?
They look to be about 9 or 10 weeks old, they weren't terrified of me, just
wary.  Any idea who to call?  I've tried calling animal control but continue to
get disconnected.  I didn't find any websites of groups that do anything besides
TNR...

Any info would be much appreciated...  These guys were so cute!  Little b+w long
hair and an all black one...

Thanks,
Cappy

You could try these:

Since they will grudgingly come up to you, why not catch them, vet them,
and work out something with a local rescue to foster them if they help
you find them homes?

Thanks for the links (Cheryl, too!  My reply to you bounced...)

I called the AACSPCA.  They said that if someone brought them in, that because
they were strays, they (SPCA) would turn them over to AC.  :-(

I called Rude Ranch and left a message.  As far as I know, they have not called
me back.

I would love to grab them up myself, but I have a dog (ACDxkelpie) that is
*very* high prey drive.  He came in to the house after the four cats that I
currently have, and respects all but one.  I don't trust him w/ the adult cats,
I don't even want to think what he'd do w/ 10-12 wk old kittens.

I have had kitten fever for a couple of years now.  My youngest cats are eight
years old.  This dog is five and a half.  I keep waiting for him to "settle
down" a little.  grin

Thanks again,
Cappy
