DP is on medical clerkship and, as such, is currently working at a
hospital out of province. he's been gone for 4 weeks and will be gone
for another 2, but he came home this weekend to get some kitty-luv and
spend some time with me.
Well. Nocturne is /pissed/.
The kittens are overjoyed that their Momdad is home and Smokey is
walking all over him nagging for attention, but Nocturne is completely
snubbing him. She won't approach him. She won't let him pet her. If
he walks into the room, she gets up and walks out. She refuses to
sleep on his head, as is her usual sleeping position (even in his
absence she sleeps on his pillow)--well last night she spent the night
on my feet. Usually the bottom of the bed is "unclean" because Smokey
sleeps there.
She's missed him--in his absence she's been crying to me, bunting me
furiously every morning, following me around--but now that he's home,
she's showing how pissed she is that he left her by giving him a bit of
his own medicine!

If I were him I would pick the cat up where it wanted me to or not and give
it some loving till it could not take it anymore than do it again and again
till the cat gets over it. Shows the cat you might be mad but I still love
you whether you like or not
