I hung a very long rug (that I used to have in the hallway in my old
place) over a door for Miranda to climb. She was very interested, and
she did climb to the top of the door, but I hadn'tt aken into account
how easily the door moves, and it swung shut before I could stop it, and
Miranda hurt her paws. Now I've put the cat tent as a door jamb, so it
can't swing shut, but Miranda is still afraid of the door (she seems
fine physically - no limping or favouring of paws). However, Caliban
likes the new climbing wall very much.

I hope Miranda will learn to trust the door again and start using the
climbing opportunity. She does watch Caliban with interest, and she
wants to follow him, but she's still afraid of the door that 'bit' her.
Stupid Meowmie who didn't realise how easily thedoor moves. It's no like
the heavy wooden doors my sister has; she's had the rug-over-door system
for years, and her cat Ronja loves hanging out on the top of the door.

I am wondering if the weight of the cat would pull the rug down ???? MLB

No, it's a very long rug. There is as much of it hanging over the other
side of the door as on the side shown in the picture, and it's a heavy
rug. Caliban goes scaling it up and down with ease, and the rug doesn't
bidge. Caliban weighs much more than Miranda by now.
